Sleeves that reach your wrists
Lang & Länger is a shop for people from 1.85 m upward. Every garment here is cut long from the start — never a standard block stretched at the end. Nothing is sold by letter. You shop by your height, your inseam and your sleeve length, in centimetres.

Four pieces we are known for
Written the way we say them in the shop — with the measurement, not a letter.
L38 and L36 are inseam designations in inches, printed inside the waistband so you can match what you already own. They are not sizes.
The shop
Seven garments, each drafted on a long block. Choose the one whose measurements match yours; the length is right before you try it on.

How to measure
Three numbers are enough to shop here. Take them over light clothing, standing straight, ideally with someone else holding the tape. Write them down — they change very little over the years.
1Body height
Stand with your back and heels against a wall, without shoes. Mark the wall level with the crown of your head using a book held flat. Measure from the floor to the mark.
It tells us which block a garment was drafted on — where the shoulder seam, the waistband and the hem are meant to land on a body.
2Inseam
From the crotch seam of well-fitting trousers straight down the inside of the leg to where you want the hem to sit — on the top of the shoe for jeans, a touch shorter for chinos.
It decides the leg length. Nearly every off-the-peg trouser fails here first, which is why we stock up to 102 cm.
3Sleeve length
From the bony point of the shoulder, over a slightly bent elbow, to the wrist bone. Keep the tape following the arm rather than pulling it straight.
It decides where a cuff sits. A shirt sleeve should end at the base of the thumb; a knit sleeve may cover the wrist bone.

You will not find a letter size anywhere in this shop. Letters describe an average body, and an average body is exactly what we are not dressing.
The fit promise
Four things we commit to, in writing, for every garment on this page.
01
Long from the first pattern
Our patterns start at a 1.90 m block and grade upward. Nobody takes a standard garment and adds four centimetres to the hem — the armhole, the knee break and the rise move with the length, which is what makes a long garment look proportionate rather than merely long.
02
Measurements, not letters
Every product page lists the finished garment in centimetres: inseam, sleeve, chest or waist, total length. You can lay your best-fitting shirt on the table and compare it before you order.
03
Free length adjustment
If a hem or a sleeve is within three centimetres of right, bring it to the Hafengasse and we will alter it at no charge for a year after purchase. Original hems on selvedge denim are re-attached.
04
Fourteen days, return postage paid
You have fourteen days from receipt to withdraw from the contract. Inside Germany we pay the return postage. Full conditions are in the withdrawal policy.
Returns, plainly
Order two lengths if you are between measurements — most people do. Send back the one that does not fit within fourteen days and we refund it, including the standard outbound shipping. There is no restocking charge and no condition beyond the garment being unworn with its tags on.

I am 2.01 m. I have bought trousers by post for fifteen years and hemmed every single pair myself. The 102 cm inseam arrived and the hem was already where it belongs. That is the whole review.

The measuring guide is honest — I measured my sleeve at 71 cm, ordered the 70 and the 72, kept the 72 and sent the other back with the label they included. No argument, refund in four days.

The wool coat is genuinely cut for 1.95 m, sleeves included, which I had not found anywhere else in Baden-Württemberg. One star off only because the longest chino length was out of stock for a month.

Went in with no idea what my inseam was. They measured me in ten minutes, wrote the three numbers on a card, and I have used it for every order since. Shop is small and the people know what they are doing.
